My wife and I drive a little Honda that's almost 15 years old with 185,000 miles, and it's really starting to show. So today, we test drove some new Honda's at the dealership which was fun but exhausting.
Tried the Honda Fit, and while it's a cool little car, it was definitely not what we're looking for at this point in our lives. Too small, to underpowered, no AWD. Tried the Accord and it was so-so. Tried the CR-V and it was awesome (though kinda boring as far as cars go).
The saleman was kind of a jerk though. We went in saying, "We love Honda and would love to give you our business, but we're just trying out cars today, not buying." Totally up front about it. The salesman was completely checked out the entire time and visibly put in as little effort as he possibly could. Also, he kept putting the hard sell on us, "So you aren't planning on buying today? Well, that's a shame because you're going to miss the 2019 end-of-the-year sales." Lol, sure buddy. After the second car, he said, "Sorry, but we're not going to have time to try the Accord, we have a two policy limit if you don't plan on buying today." So Beaverton Honda, you won't be getting our business.
Great weekend overall, looking forward to Thanksgiving and four days off later this upcoming week.
